I love this girl! Having her live with us these past 9 months has been such a blessing. She has filled this home with laughter and love. We decided to be super domestic one day and make homemade strawberry jam. We donned our Mr. and Mrs. Kaltenbach aprons which Ryan didn't think was as funny as we did : ) and got to work mashing, stirring and mostly adding sugar!
Let's just say it was a good first attempt. Definitely room for improvement (cut sugar in half!!) However, no matter how our jam turned out it was another memory with Maddie that I will cherish forever. We've made lots of them these past months and what a gift each of those moments are to me. Maddie, I love you hon.

How fun! I love homemade jam.
My mom came in and looked at the picture of you and Maddie jumping and she was like, "Katelyn you look so cute in that photo!" I had to click on it and then enlarge it to prove that it wasn't me. It was quite the compliment!! :)
oh my gosh this is SO cute. That jumping picture and those aprons made me laugh so hard. oh that makes me jealous!
ahh see sometimes it's not such a bad thing to get locked out of school!! I loved this day... even though it did turn out a little grainy.. we need to dust off these aprons again soon!! : ) love this- love you!
ps. ali- door is always open and i'm sure she has an apron that says "the boy" ... sooooo...
she is adorable! i loved getting to know maddie some this summer...such a fun memory!
