More Visitors... Suedy and Alfonso came to town!!

Suedy and Alfonso came and voila! our house was instantly filled with warmth, laughter and fun! Harrison reveled in all the attention from his adopted auntie and uncle and was especially happy mommy and daddy relaxed a little on the i pad restrictions so Alfonso could show him all the coolest games!

First night - dinner at Iberia, a Spanish restaurant. I don't know what I enjoyed more, the food or listening to Suedy and Alfonso order our dinner without us understanding ONE WORD! The paella was insane!

We also visited Huddart Park, one of our favorite spots to take visitors! I love this girl so much, how did I get so lucky?

The boys spent some quality time together watching the model airplanes fly and visiting the TESLA dealership...Harrison could not have been happier!

We topped off the visit with a Gingerbread House decorating session before the trip back to the airport!

Needless to say, Harrison was NOT happy to see them go... it was very sad (for all of us)

Thank  you Suedy and Alfonso for coming and for this adorable video! We can't wait for the next visit!!

Visitors Continued...Grammy and Grandpa time!!

I love these two.  I couldn't have hand picked in-laws that I love, respect and appreciate more.  One of the most difficult things about being up here, is being away from Grammy and Grandpa.  We loved the time we got to spend with them recently and are so happy that they are coming back to celebrate Christmas with us! Here are a few of my favorite photos from their visit...

A day in Half Moon Bay, visiting the coast and playing at Lemos Farms

Grammy and Grandpa, we adore you. Thank you for always being there for us and for your constant love and support!

Giving Thanks for Visitors!

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! This house was filled with family and nothing is more healing for me!

First, Chelsea spent a few days here for some much needed mother-daughter time right before Thanksgiving. It was so great to have my sister here. We did some early Christmas shopping in San Francisco, talked and talked and ate and ate!! It was perfect and I am ready for her to come back!

Only a day after Chelsea left, Dax, Sanam and their family, Zak, Kelli and their family and Ric showed up to celebrate Thanksgiving weekend with us. Thanksgiving is definitely one of my favorite holidays and this was one I will never forget.

We did The Muppets, we did Huddart Park, we did Questa Park, we feasted, we played games and we had a blast!

Angel Highlight #4 - Live, Love, Breathe

Somer is one of my angels. She too lives and thrives joyfully despite having CF and our similar experiences have bonded us together like sisters. In fact, several years ago Ryan started to refer to us and another one of our dear friends, Sara Dun, as the "Cystic Sisters", which we shortened to Cysters and now that title is used all the time in the CF community!!

Somer is an artist and donates art to fundraisers for Cystic Fibrosis all over the country. Her talents have raised hundreds if not thousands of dollars for CF research. She is an icon in the CF community and brings compassion, humor, and light to the issues we face in a way that we can all relate to. She is beloved and I feel so grateful to have her as one of my best friends.

This is Somer's latest creation. It is called Sharlie's Angels. She is auctioning it off to raise money for the Sharlie's Angels medical fund. When I saw it, I fell in love. I feel like it epitomizes the miracle I am praying for!

If you want a beautiful original piece of art in your home or would like a unique Christmas gift, visit Somer's blog to find out more information! The auction is open for a few more days!!

Somer, you are such a blessing to me and so many! Thank you for this amazing gift!
