All his Eggs in one basket...

Easter Catch up!

Easter is always such a special holiday for me. I love the significance of this holiday and what it means to me personally. I love the opportunity to reflect upon the Atonement of my Savior and the reminder to me of His love, grace and presence in my life. Because of the knowledge that I have of Him and his sacrifice for me and for all of us, I experience peace and hope no matter what circumstances I encounter in my life, what a precious blessing this is. I know that because he rose on the third day and conquered death, that I too will live again and be with my family forever. I came to appreciate this gift with a deeper intensity after Lexi's death. I was comforted and buoyed up by the Faith that we would be reunited again. I cherish holidays that help solidify my Faith and Testimony of Jesus Christ. I also cherish every second I get to spend with my family and this Easter was a day filled with reflection, gratitude, hope and family.

Cute Cousins: A day at the Science Center with Zoe and Sam!

We were so thrilled to learn Ryan's cousin Dan and his adorable family decided to spend Spring Break in San Diego! Although I was at Sanoviv for most of the time they were here, Harrison finally got to meet Zoe and Sam and they had so much fun together!

They spent a day at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park:
(I love the face Zoe makes when we are taking her picture!)

Playing by the fountain:
(possibly some of my favorite pics of Harrison)

Pajama Party at Grammy and Grandpa's:
(kissn' cousins)
We LOVE spending time with family! It is truly what makes us happiest! We hope Dan, Hilary, Zoe and Sam will make Spring Break in San Diego an annual event : )

Definitely Honored...

Here are four of my ANGELS, four of my heroes. My mom, my brothers Dax and Zak and my husband Ryan. My life is so blessed by these four people, they all take such good care of me and give me the encouragement and strength to keep fighting.

They are leaving in a few weeks on the most incredible adventure to climb to the base camp of Mt. Everest. I am so excited for them, so excited that they get to participate in something so magnificent, so surreal. I am always moved when I see people really living... not taking their lives, God's wondrous creations and good health for granted and just really LIVING! Their trek to base camp epitomizes this and inspires me!!

They printed special shirts to wear on the trek and I am definitely honored to be a small part of their trek in this way. The Shirts Read:

In Memory of LEXI.
To Honor SHARLIE.
With Hope for BEN, LAUREN...
and all those who fight to breathe.

For those who don't know, Lexi is my little sister who lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of 14 in 1995 and Ben and Lauren are my precious nephew and niece who were also born with Cystic Fibrosis. Ben is nine and Lauren is six, they are doing great!

Here is a picture of Base Camp. Just looking at the picture takes my breath away...not because of the lack of oxygen at this altitude but because of the majesty of this Mountain : )

Disneyland!!

My darling cousin Ali turned 21 on March 29th and decided to take a little road trip from Salt Lake to San Diego to visit some of her favorite cousins! We all headed to Disneyland and had the most fun day! Last time we were at Disneyland, Harrison was too little to even be aware of where we were so it was so fun to discover it anew through his fascinated eyes!

Besides one little incident where he had to take a "time out" for deliberately putting his hands ALL OVER the TOILET SEAT...after I told him "honey, don't touch the seat, okay? It's really dirty and germy and just please don't touch it or your germaphobe momma might have a panic attack, etc. etc." he inched his little paw towards the seat to see my reaction and I did the wrong thing, (picture in slow motion a crazy woman reaching for her child's hand saying "Nooooooooo!") because he just gave me his stinker little grin and covered as much surface area as he could before I could restrain him. Yeah, he got a time out. He's really into testing me right now and if I didn't think he was so dang cute and smart and clever and funny, I would be really annoyed : )

The rest of the day went off without a hitch and was filled with family, sun, parades, junk food and wonder...oh and LIGHTNING MCQUEEN!!! Here are a few (lots) of pictures that I love:

Happy Birthday Al, I love you!!

Toy Story Ride at California Adventure, we went twice...
not so much because Harrison loved it but because Ryan needed to improve his score!

I love these girls!

Harrison drying off after some fun at the Bugs Life splash park

Harrison and his cousin Jackson...such cute buddies!

high fiven'
Harrison needs a little space...
now Jackson needs a little space...
They both LOVE Cars the Movie so this was definitely a highlight!

Parade Time!! (who's more excited?!)

Ryan took this one and I love it!

Cuddling with his best buddy Garrett after a long day...

Disneyland is a whole different experience with a toddler, for example, lots more potty breaks, fewer rides, actually watching the parades and much more casual meandering. I much prefer it... Harrison was asleep before we left the parking structure! Magical Day!
