Happy Birthday My Sweet Jaydn!

As this Blog is titled "Sharlie's Angels," I must honor one of my special angels today on her NINTH birthday!! From the moment I learned Jaydn was going to make her way to our family I have absolutely been IN LOVE with her. She made me an aunt, a role I treasure and embrace! Jaydn and I bonded quickly and I can truly say I love her like a daughter. I am so grateful that Kelli was so generous in giving me opportunities to develop my relationship with Jaydn, from laying her beside me in bed as a newborn after she was done nursing to letting me babysit and have lots of one on one time with her! Jaydie, I love you sweetheart. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

2nd Annual Kaltenbach Trek to Arizona!

Mom and Dad Kaltenbach treated us to another wonderful trip to Arizona to meet up with some of our favorite people! The first night Colin and Ruth hosted us in their home for a delicious BBQ! The rest of the weekend we got to spend time with Chuck and Shirley and Rich and Carolyn and their adorable family. Harrison fell in love with Paul, Anya, and Carlie and had so much fun trying to fit in with the "big kids!" They were so so cute with him, making him laugh and egging him on ... I had a blast watching them all interact.



We spent a fun day at the park. Harrison LOVES being with his Grammy at the Park : )





Daddy picked out this book for Harrison at a little book stand at the park...it was a WINNNER!!


We payed four bucks for this book but it was worth $40...it kept Harrison occupied and very HAPPY for the duration of the trip!!



We ended our little family vacation with a trip to the ZOO!








We topped it off with a ride on the train...I'm not gonna lie, Harrison was slightly more excited about the train than he was about the animals : )




This trip will definitely be a highlight of our year, thank you so much Mom and Dad!!

Hope and Peace

I gained a deeper and stronger testimony of the Atonement of my Savior when Lexi passed away. Suddenly I subconsciously knew that I had to reevaluate my beliefs and especially my belief in the Atonement. Would I really be reunited with Lexi again? Could I really be exalted despite my weaknesses, shortfalls and sins? Was Christ really aware of ME and did he really love me that much, that he was willing to take upon himself not only my sins, but my infirmities, my sorrows, and my pains as well?

I am so grateful for the powerful confirmation I received that the answer to all of these questions was a resounding YES! The Atonement became very real to me. I don't profess to understand how it works or comprehend the magnitude of it, but I can't deny my testimony. My experiences have witnessed unto me that Jesus Christ Lives and is my Savior, that he is aware of me and loves me and that because of his sacrifice, I will be reunited with my sister again and that I can be with my family for All Eternity. This testimony gives me hope and peace and perspective.

The Best Five Years of my Life!

I thought when I knelt across the alter 5 years ago and was married to Ryan that I couldn't love him any more than I did at that moment, but over the last 5 years my love for him has evolved, strengthened, and deepened as we have existed as a married couple.

I am so blessed to have a man by my side who loves me unconditionally, who takes care of me, who makes me laugh every day, who is my best friend and who is the Best Daddy!! I just keep falling more and more in love with him!
